2022 CALIFORNIA BUILDING/RESIDENTIAL CODE, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 109.6
The City of Banning Building Official may authorize a refund of applicable permit fee(s) meeting the refund critera requirements for the withdrawal/cancellation of a building permit/application.
Subject to the following provision, permit fee(s) may be eligible for a refund if the refund request is received within 364 days from permit issuance date, or plan check fee payment date. If after 365 days from the permit issuance, plan check fee payment date, application fee(s) are non-refundable.
- The Building Official may authorize refunding of any fee paid hereunder which was erroneously paid or collected.
- The Building Official may authorize refunding of not more than sixty-five (65%) where no work has commenced under an issued permit, in accordance with the 2022 California Building/Residential Code
- The Building Official shall not authorize a refund of any fee paid except on a written Request For Refund form, from the original payor, no later than 364 days of the date of permit issuance, application payment, or plan check.
BUILDING/RESEARCH - is a standard administrative processing fee, which is non-refundable.
COMPUTER RECORD/STORAGE FEE - is a document/plan retention/maintenance fee, which is non-refundable. CREDIT/DEBIT CARD SERVICE FEE - is non-refundable.
